GNX Side Extension Module (GNX-SEM)
The GNX Side Extension Module adds a new level of realism to the passionate flight and space pilot.
While the GNX-SEM was designed with General Aviation pilots in mind, the module is highly configurable to suit any flight and space sim cockpit.
The SEM can be attached side-by-side to:
- Gladiator NXT EVO Standard or Premium controller base (from either side)
- SEM modules (max number of SEM modules in system – 4x)
- THQ modules (max number of THQ modules in system – 4x)
- Gladiator EVO Omni Throttle, but only on the opposite side of the throttle’s ‘elbow’. For example, a left-hand throttle only allows attachment on the right hand side. To overcome this limitation a USB Controller can be used which then allows the SEM to be connected to the PC and therefore placed independently of the controller
Up to 4 SEM modules can be accommodated in your cockpit.

The ability to add the modules is fantastic as they aren't massive and still allows me to have the keyboard and mouse without taking up too much room as other brands.
this module is I believe a must have for your game play. comes in handy with star citizen and flight sims and doesn't use up too must of your desk real estate!
best money i've spent over having HOTAS with millions of switches and constant knuckle hits whilst throttling due to being so close together!

Getting the important things out of the way why it's 4 out 5 and not out of 5 out 5. *Buyers be aware *
The connection between some joysticks is different than shown in the instructions video. No instructions were in the box to state the proper way to connect to the Omni throttle. Some Omni throtles do not have a 3 pin and only have a 4 pin.
The box come with a 4 pin to 3 pin and a 3pin to 3pin cable, But if you use the 4pin cable (as one would assume you would need to do, it won't work. It requires the 3 pin cable to 3 pin to plugged into a 4 pin connect of the joystick leaving 1 pin exposed. Making sure the pin exposed still is the right one. I had about 5 emails back and forth with support (Which helped me out at the end) but still wasted a good 3 - 4 hours going back and forth. Please VKB update your instructions or include a little print out to make sure people are aware of this.
The module itself is excellent. Super configurable, tactile buttons, good packaging and extras. Like the stickers for changing names and little extra knobs. Good support as well!
Just wish it had a longer cable for the connection itself so you can place it around your desk without needing to be on the left or right of the joystick. I know USB module is available but I don't want another thing plugging in to my limited number of usb ports in my computer. Mind you this is a nitpick.

Despite the plastic feel and look, the buttons and switches are great and have a nice solid feel to them.
This is definitely a must have if you are looking for something reasonably priced!

Adding this to my gladiator joystick makes the flying experience so much more fun. I have also bought the THQ since this purchase. The GNX has proper well designed switches and buttons. Like all this VKB stuff it is all highly configurable and built to last. I also have the rudder pedals that I could not live without. The support is also amazing.
